Burton Wold Wind Farm South’s third and final rotor was lifted into place this week. Consortium partners WWS, Muirhall Energy and Infinergy are pleased to see the operational phase of the project getting near.
Burton Wold Wind Farm South consists of 3 wind turbines, each with an installed capacity of 2.75MW. They are GE machines with a rotor of 120m and a hub height of 75.5m. They have been installed on land to the south of the original 10-turbine Burton Wold Wind Farm.
Esbjorn Wilmar, Infinergy’s Chief Executive said: “It is fantastic to see the successful installation of yet another project in our portfolio. Over the next couple of weeks the turbines will be fully commissioned. They will then enter their 25-year operational life, generating green electricity for British homes and businesses.”
