Infinergy's parent company is looking for a new investor
KDE Energy, Infinergy's parent company, is looking for a new investor following the divestment strategy of its own parent, the Koop Group.
KDE Energy is the renewables division of the Koop Group, a privately owned Dutch construction, engineering and contracting enterprise. Recently its two shareholders have expressed a wish to retire and divest their interest in the business. As the Group’s subsidiaries do not share core activities, it has been decided that they are individually more than capable for a life outside of the Koop Group.
KDE Energy is active in site selection, development, construction and operation of onshore wind energy projects since 1998. For over a decade this sustainable energy company has continued to expand its activities rapidly and became an international organisation with offices in the UK (Infinergy Ltd.), France, Belgium, Poland and Germany. KDE Energy is looking forward to moving into a new stage with continued sustainable growth.
Chief Executive of the Koop Group, Okke Koo, has mandated KPMG Corporate Finance to find a financial partner for KDE Energy.
Infinergy’s Managing Director Esbjorn Wilmar said: “We welcome this next step forward which will help us delivering our successful strategy in developing, building and operating wind energy projects in the UK.”
