Renewable and nonrenewable energy sources can be used to produce electricity. Electricity is the flow of electrical power that "energises" our computers, lights, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners, to name only a few uses. Electricity comes from storing stations and is transported to our homes, schools, hospitals, offices and factories through large power lines. Power points in buildings make sure that we can use electricity every time we need it. Take a walk through your house or school and write down all the different appliances, devices and machines that use electricity. You'll be amazed at how many things we use each and every day that depend on electricity!
